Tunze Osmolator Wire length?

Does anyone know how long the wire can be run between the unit and the pump at the reservoir?

My situation is that my reservoir is about 25 feet from my sump and I was hoping that this unit would work.

Would anyone have a solution for my situation? The wire doesn't look that long from the picture?

The wiring from the pump to controller is about 10 ft, you can extend it will speaker wire but I would add the following cautions.

The reservoir is the final safety, if all else fails it is best to have a very limited volume of water available, only as much as you would need to top off for a week or two. Having huge volumes available is not a good idea, It would be safer to have a small reservoir under the tank.

Extending the wire adds an additional weak point, there is another junction that could get wet and short, I see this quite often in repairs, the extension has corroded or shorted and the controller won't work until this is replaced.

Bottom line is you could do it, but it is not the best practice.
