I just got this thing used and i have NO IDEA how to hook it up. I've never used a top off and I dont even have a sump on my 29g. I need this thing up by March because im going to Fla for a few days and nobody will be around to top off for me.

Im not very handy so I need an instructional that is very easy to follow.

You will need to download the manual on Tunze.com, 3155 is the article number. If you get to a specific problem, I can help you with that. I can give you a basic walk through. You will need to mount the sensors in the tank, the optic sensor is the main sensor, the float switch is only a secondary safety and should be 1" above the optic sensor. The pump will connect to the screw terminals on the pigtail from the controller, you will need a small slotted screwdriver to do this. The pump will be submerged in a bucket, preferably of about 5 gallons. This is your top off reservoir. The hose from the pump needs to be bracketed to the tank with the clamp that is part of the holders, the hose should not touch the surface of the water and the reservoir must be positioned below the tank.
