Tunze Power Magnet

I have a Tunze Power Magnet that I bought used and I need to replace the pad for it. Is there an easy way for me to tell which pad I need or is it one size fits all?

Thanks
Mark

Well, the scrubbers are the same on all of them. For the felt it is green on the 220.53, blue on the 220.54- all replacements are blue- the different colors are just so no one screws up at the factory. The 220.5 and 220.56 are white and much thicker.

The magnet I have I cannot tell the color of the pad, so for a glass tank which one would I need?

I guess i need to to clear up what I need. I actually need the scrubber pad for the inside of the tank, the pad for the outside of the tank is blue so I guess I have the 220.54 and need the 0220.521 for a replacemnet.

I have looked but cannot find any who carries them.

Thanks for the help

MD has them, I think Champion also stocks them. Premium could arrange a drop ship, I can mail a pad for 37c.

Thanks for taking care of my buddy Mark, Roger. You're a good man and a great friend:)

just a little off topic... how much do you like the power magnet? Better than a mag float (If you've ever used one)?

I have both, the mag float is easier to move around, but nothing gets the stuff off the glass like the Power Magnet.

I think it is they are cheaper for the strength and the plastic we use is a more flexible plastic that doesn't crack easily. The magnets are embedded in polyurethane resin for waterproofing and the case is polyamide which is one of the best plastics for the application because it never gets brittle.

It sounds like they are better quality. But are they more effective at removing algae? What about coraline, or that thin algal film that grows in little pale circles and i can't get off with a hammerhead?

Probably not most all magnets I have seen use the same scrubber- coarse side of a piece of velcro.
