tunze pumps

i was wondering if anyone has the tunze 6055 pumps with the wavecontroller and if they think that they are really beter then korallias with a wavemaster any feedback would be great

You will get more flow with the Tunzes, but they also have a bigger footprint. I recently switched to Vortechs and sold my pumps but still haven't sold the 7095 Multi-controller yet.

I never had Korallias but I have the Tunze 6105 with controller and love it. I do know that the Korallia controller is pretty expensive though. A lot of people really love the Vortechs as well.

I was looking at those on craigslist too, but for that kind of cash its hard to justify (for me anyways). I'm looking to mod my koralia 4's to push 3000+ gph and hook them up to some DIY swirl steins and save myself $300.

Thanks for the feed back,well i went for the big push and got them and just put them on etier side of my 180 and the tangs seem to have rediscovered the joy of swimming,.picked up 2 6055 with the 7095 contoller for $275 still trying to convince myself it was worth it:mixed::mixed:

tunze is worth it! I never thought spending that much for pumps was worth it. I bit the bullet and bought a vortech...didnt care for it. So I traded for a tunze and wow. It was awesome. I like the quality and design. I have the nano wavemaker in my 40 and I LOVE it!

wow. that's an insane deal! Definitely worth it for that price. You basically got a good deal on one Tunze 6055 and controller, then got another one FREE on top of that.

What would be the most ideal set up with 2 tunze and 2 korilia's 4 o a 180g not to sure if the k's should go on the back or side by side next to the tunzes

A couple of Tunze 6101's or the newer 6105's would compliment those 6055's big time. You have a 7095 controller?

Oops, misunderstood the question. You're going to have to play with positioning to try and eliminate dead spots. All depends on your rock work on where best to place the pumps.
