Tunze Recommendation

Hi Roger:

Can you give me a recommendation for Tunze streams for my tank?

I have a 125 gallon RR consisting of SPS on the majority of the upper rocks with LPS, softies, ricordia, dusters, clam (single 5 inch crocea), zoos, and a 10 inch rose BTA in the lower sections. I have a 4 inch DSB.

Currently flow is via an Iwaki MD40 via the corner overflow returns. I have 2 additional maxijet 900's running along the back and front of the tank.

I would use 2 6000 Streams and a multicontroller. Your tank is narrow so the flow will be channeled and the 6100 I think would be too much in these conditions. I would set the multicontroller so both pumps are running in pulse mode.

One last question: Where are the tank do you mount the pumps?

That is to say, do I mount it on the side at the midpoint (from top-bottom and front back)?

On the side about 3" from the top- keep in mind surface agitation is the most important.
