Tunze skimmer for 75 gallon sps tank

which Tunze skimmer do you recommend for 75 gallon sps tank with few fish? Tunze 9005 or 9010 and what type of skimmer design are they? Needle Wheel , Needle Impeller or downdraft? For in-sump operation what height of water clearance require? Thanks

Personally I would go with the 9010. The 9010 comes with the sump kit(outflow tube and sponge etc...) which allows it to be used in water levels from about 4" to about 10" . Not sure on exact hight need to remove the cump but think it to be about 20" total. They are basically like a venturi skimmer, except unlike must they pull air in from the pump output.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking, go with 9010. For now will be using it inside 75g. Only thing is I have Eurobrace that is 2 inch and this will push the skimmer 2 inch forward inside the tank. May block my TX5 T5 HO lighting, which is mounted with legs onto of my tank.

That might be a tough fit in tank with the bracing. The TX5 does spread light well but not sure exactly how far ahead from middle it would get pushed.
