Tunze skimmer recommendation

Hey Roger, I currently own a Tunze 9410 skimmer on my 50 gallon. The skimmer is running as part of the Tunze skimmer kit package. The sump is now getting a little tight for space with all my equipment and I was wondering if you could recommend another skimmer with a smaller footprint. The 9410 just takes up too much real estate. My tank only generates a few ounces of nasty skimmate a week. The cup on the 9410 is way big for my tank. Any recs you can provide for an in-sump skimmer with similar performance but that is much smaller would be appreciated.

The 9011 would be smaller by a couple inches in length and width and about 20% weaker as it is venturi based, that is the best recommendation I could give from our range, it wouldn't save you that much space, the footprint is 5 by 7 and the height is the same.

I guess one big benefit to the 9011, though, is that it fits squarely in the corner of the sump, right? The 9410 takes up an awkward amount of space with the filter sump, pump and skimmer body.

Yes, I would say that is a fair assessment.

what about waiting for the 9003?

9004 actually, that could work, but I generally like to have some experience and feedback before I recommend something. It will also require a deeper water level.
