Tunze Stream

Ok so my question is, I have a 30 gal oceanic cube, refugium, etc.. It's currently run by a mag 7 on a closed loop with a scwd, and a mag 5 for the return. People have told me I'm crazy for this much flow but honestly I don't feel it's enough. I want to run a stream 6100 with controller off the side pointing across to where the overflow is to make a kind of pulsing side to side wave action. Is this just going to be overkill and spray water everywhere? The tank is only 18 inches across.

EDIT: The only reason I said a 6100 was because I thought these were the only streams that can be scaled back? I think I'm wrong on this.

It will be an aweful lot, they have them running at AquaTek you might go see for yourself and then take a look at a 7400/2 or 7300/2 that would be the right choice for extreme flow in a small tank in my opinion.

Hehehe been to Aquatek more times than I count, which is why I rely on basically anything they have in their tanks themselves. Will the flow with 7400/7300 be very wide? Also are they able to pulse somehow ie. controller?

They pulse and they have a 1" nozzle so the flow is quite wide, that is what runs the 120 and the custom 75 with the ritteri in it.

Thank you to Rvitko for yet again, steering someone in the right direction. I put a controlled 7300 in my cube and apart from it being HUGE, the flow is INCREDIBLE. Seriously these things blast the water out like a firehose.
