I'm thinking of buying one of these pumps of my lps tank which contains a majority of the following fleshy corals frog sporns, anchors, torches and bubbles.
Just a bit worried that these pumps are too powerful and could damage the fleshy corals.
There are two options available
1. fixed flow
2. variable flow.
I think it would be best if I had a controllable pump, which I could set the speed. The next question: which pump to buy?
1. 6100 Stream pump
2. 6000 Stream pump
Will the 6000 be more than adequate or should I be looking for buying the 6100? I will be using the 7091 controller as funds tight.
The tank is a 6x2x2 with 92kg (large pieces) of live rock and a plenty of small fish
1. 3x 1ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ gobies
2. 6 x 1.5ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ chromis
3. 3ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ mandarine
4. 10 x 3ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ anthias
I would like to know your thoughts please which pump to go for.
