Tunze Terbelle 3000/2 - Problem!

Hi all

I have 2 Stream 6100s on a multicontroller which are working great. I also have 1 Terbelle 3000/2 power head.

The power head is where my problem is. I notice that if the pump is running at less than about 50% of power is vibrates and stutters. As soon the the controller kicks back to 100% (or anything greater than 50%) its away again.

When its stuttering its not moving any water at all.

I have soaked it overnight in white vinigar and given it a good clean. This does not seem to have helped.

I do not have another to compare it too, however I have tried some things. I tried taking off the bottom of the pump (the strainer) and just run it while watching the impellor moving. I can see it stutter (the stuttering causes quite a lot of vibration and clicking). Manually turning it when its stuttering does not make any difference.

Also the impellor looks a little warn, the little black ring thing that sits directly bellow impellor seems to have warn into the impellor a few mm. Also the impellor slips a little of the axil, there is a little white clip that sort of holds it in place, but there is only 1, not 1 on each side.

Anyone know what could be wrong with it? Has the motor warn out and is no good? Is their a site with parts I can view (to see how it should look?). Can I order a new 'impellor assembly', if so where from (delivery to New Zealand).

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

How would your run a Turbelle 3000/2 at anything less than 100% power. A controller will ruin this pump. It cannot be controlled and attempting to do so has ruined the drive unit. Please stop running it in a ny manner outside of plugged into the wall with no controller of any sort. You should buy a new drive unit. I would suggest contacting a shop in Australia as likely this will get you the lowest shipping cost.
