Thinking of getting this ph for my 56 gallon. Flow rate: 660 US gal./h. I now have a mj in this tank as its only ph. No corals or fish yet. Any thoughts of this vs a Koralia 3 850 gph.

Tunze Nanostream 6025 660g/h $65
Koralia 3 850 g/h $42.50

Which one do you think?

i think after testing they found the 6025 to push more then the advertisted gph. along with if you choose to mod it, not sure on the number but it can increase the flow ALOT.

id say go with the tunzes, they look nicer imo

I have used the Tunze 6025 and I do not recommend them.

I have had numerous problems with mine since the day I got them.

The propellor would jam and get stuck. It wold also be running and then just stop suddenly. Then the motor inside would get hot and heat up the tank water. I tried cleaning it reassemlbing teh unit etc.. no luck. Also the magnets that hold them on are strong but the mounting for the base is fairly weak. If you bump them they will fall off of the magnet quite easily.

I would say go with the Koralia if you are on a budget. I have seen these and would now take those over the nanostreams.

Just my 0.02 cents

Good luck,

Mike

Mike the new tunze models have fixed all them bugs.

I run two 6025 and recently got 3 6045 in addition to my 6100 x3.
Their customer service and profesionalism is far superior than any othe ph company IME.

Give them a call or post your issues in the forum and they will be addressed.

awesome

awesome

I run 3 6025's and they are the shiznit... no issues whatsoever and I let mine get a crusty with coralline and they are still rockin..

There is a super easy mod for them, no parts needed that increases the GPH...

well worth the price imho...

Thanks for the heads up manny. I wil look into getting mine fixed or something. I thought I wasted my money at first, it kinda stinks though because I just spent the money on two of the Vortechs w/ the wireless wave driver LOL. I hope these work well enough.

I will probably fix the nanostream and use it on my frag tank.
