How important is this device? I was thinking of getting it for my 125G, it can pump 5200G/hr. Is that overkill? I'm keeping some SPS in it.
 
thanks for your reply, did you see a major improvement in your tank when you added these are did you have them in from the start.
 
I think when you have more water flow your water quality will go up. The flow will help move detritus to the skimmer, and more water movement over the live rock helps with biological filtration.

A 6200 IMO is in no way too much. But if you think it is you have a volume control to turn it down.
 
Yeah, considering that when you have it setup for wave motion it's average output is closer to 50%. Get it!

Yes I did ....It started in my 120g tank .I started with 1 6100 and then 2 and then 3 and so one . Each time things responded good so . Now in the 180 I added 2x6200's to them .

Do it!!!!!!!!! but dont use fine sand like KEP said, or you will have a sandstorm in there

i think some coarse aragonite will work or BB
