Tunze water level alarm vs Osmolator

I'm trying to figure out which is the right equipment for me needs.

I'm looking for a system to protect again my overflow clogging and the return pump from flooding my carpet, which hopefully can also be used to administer and monitor my top off water. The main use however is as a guard against flooding (I wish I had a drilled tank, but I don't).

From what I've read Tunze seem to be the most reliable. However, I looking at both the Osmolator and the Water Level Alarm. Can't seem to tell the difference except that the Osmolator seem to be for top-off's and includes a doing pump, whereas the Level Alarm had some sort of relay controller that turns off connected devices once the sensor is tripped.

Are the two interchangable? Or can I get add on modules to have one device carry out both functions? If so....how and what would I need. I trying to not have to buy both devices.

Any info is most welcome. I'm like two clicks away from the "buy" button and am stuck now.

Thx

The osmolator is a water top off device and that is it's only function. It has two auxillary safetes to prevent an accidental overfilling.

For what you want to do the Water Level Alarm is the proper device. It has three float sensors. Two will be placed in the sump and one in the tank. If the tank float is raised a relay will switch off your return pump and sound an alarm. If the lower sump float drops the relay will switch off your return pump and sound an alarm to prevent a run dry burn out. If the top sump float raises an alarm will sound only.
