I currently have a wavebox running in a 4 foot long tank, 18 inches wide, and 20 inches tall. I've had it for a while and am thinking about an upgrade.
My question is:
Which dimensions of the tank affect the wave generation the most?
I know that length is important but what about height or width?
I don't like very deep (height) tanks, I prefer the look of shallower more "cube" like displays. Is there a minimum height that is required for the wavebox to function optimally? (besides the allowance for the wavebox itself, wave action produced, distance to sandbed etc.)
Just because I'm curious, alternately could a tank be too deep that it would dampen the wave action?
Would there be a difference in wave generation between two exactly simlar tanks, except one is deeper (more height) then the other?
