Tunze wavebox question. Is it good for my tank?

My specs are in the sig.

My plan is a predominately LPS tank so I am concerned with having "too much flow" and aggravating the corals.

Currently I have an MP 40 on one end of the tank in reef crest at the highest setting. A Gyre 150 on the opposite end set to 30 min forward and 30 min back at the highest settings, and the apex shuts it off for part of the night. The rear wall has a Jaebo RW 4 on each side running in ELSE mode.

Is that enough? I have always wanted to try a wave box but I am not sure if it compliments or conflicts with my set up. To me it seems like a wave box would be a better solution than adding MORE wave makers.

Here is an image if that helps.

You would need the 6215 which is discontinued or the 6214 which is expected around the end of the month. 6214 is cheaper, about $440. I am not sure you need it, while it is nice to have a wave and a directional current, you can accomplish a wave with 2 matched pumps like the MP-40 or our 6105's the wave box just reduces the power consumption by combining displacement with the pump pulses. The wave flow does give a fairly natural look and get flow to all areas and increase polyp extension in most cases, but it is a nice to have and not a need to have.

$440.00 isn't terrible. I'm going to put this on my short list and the timing will probably depend partly on whether the Gyre holds up or not.

If it doesn't, ill be deciding between tunze products and vortechs for long term. My Tunze 3155 is probably one of the most dependable things I have ever purchased for my tanks and I am in the hobby for the long haul so...take for that what you will.

Thanks again.
