I am planning on using a tunze wavebox for my 240g. dimensions 72,32,24H. wondering if one will do or do I need second one. I don't want 1" wave, maybe half. I will also have a closed loop attached to OM, a tunze 6060, an a seio 2600 in this tank. Thanks
Mike

Hello Mike, if your tank is 72" long, you'll get at leat 11/4" wave or more with just 1 wavebox. My friend 300g tank has 1" wave with a single wavebox.

I have a wave box on a 72x24x30 and I have it dialed back a little to keep the noise down and water off the floor. One should be plenty, but they do work differently on every tank.

Something to note is that it will take time to get the wavebox dialed in to your tank. You need to make tiny adjustments and wait a few minutes to see the results. Dont expect to drop it in and it work right away.

I agree with Scottfarcuz, make sure the foam is covering the motor block not the screen. I have seen folks claimed their wavebox not working and when i arrived to check on the wavebox the foam was covering the screen :).

thank you guys. I want to buy the acrylic to make my box but needed to know if I had to buy enough material for one or two boxes. Thanks
Mike
