I am looking into possibly buying a wavebox for my 180 gallon tank. The dimensions are 6 by 2 by 2 and i was wondering if i will need to add much more flow beside the wavebox. Also i am looking at the bigger one.
Thank you Dustin

Hello Dustin, the regular size wavebox is a perfect size for your tank. You are required to have some type of directional flow because the wavebox only generate wave motion not directional. You can use either stream pump or CL. With that tank size you should be able to get approx 2" of wave if you don't have too much rock in the tank.

ok thank you i have looked around and i definetly think a wave box is the way to go. Now i just need to find a used one
Thank you Dustin

also one more question what size replacement pump is need for the wave box. Like what pump is inside of it,
Also i am talking about the bigger one.
Thank you Dustin

The wavebox using 6261 pump. Basically an 6201 motor block with 6101 transformer.... You don't need a bigger pump for your tank size
