Tunze with Wavemaker's

Guys are the TUNZE TURBELLE streams good to connect them with a non Tunze WAVE MAKER? Let say Aquamedic or something else?

no, they run on DC, so your AC wavemaker won't run them. Might ruin them, or the transformer. Great question for the Tunze forum though :D

What you mean they run on DC?

I know that they cannot turn OFF and ON for sevral times per day, and that's why I think they cannot work with a wave maker right. But do someone here connected them with a wavemaker ?

DC = Direct Current.... whereas AC = Alternating Current.

AC is what is in your wall - you need an adapter to turn AC into DC.

Sorry but I am not understanding you guys.

Right now my Tunze streams , each pump of them is connected with a TIMER, that put the pump ON and sometime OFF during the day, about 5 times OFF for 10 minutes.

So I guess the same is going to happen with them connected to a wave maker , am I saying right?

Unless I'm mistaken, Tunze wavemakers work by reducing the power output to ALMOST zero but not actually to zero.

Standard wavemakers work by completely cutting power to the wavemaker and starting it back up at the proper time. This process of shutting off and powering back up is extremely hard on the power adapter of the tunze powerhead and is thus only recommended to run on the Tunze wavemaker.

Basically it works like this: if you want your extremely expensive Tunze powerheads to run for a long time, don't put them on a non-tunze wavemaker.

Don't put seios on them either. Maxijets or other such powerheads than can handle the starting/stopping action are what you want for a standard wavemaker.

Edit: and in case there's any confusion, this means YES - take your tunze powerheads off of the timer.

AC/DC is not the issue. That's handled by the built in transformer attached to the Streams.

The issue is that they are not engineered to be run off a wavemaker like that. At best, Tunze will tell you that you can do it, but the cycle time needs to me an hour on, hour off. You can't use a traditional wavemaker to power them every few minutes.

Make the investment and buy one of the Tunze controllers if you want to do fancy wavemaking with them. I have one and it is indispensable.

Ok now I understand. But strange on the Instructions booklet of the Tunze turbelle stream there is written that you can turn OFF the pump, but not very frequently, not in a short time period.

There is not written that if you turn them OFF let say about 10 times a day will do DAMAGE to the pump.

I need suggestions / opinion's because I am really confused about it. Does also anyone here ever had or have tunze streams connected with Non Tunze Wavemakers ?

you will not find anyone that does it since they recommend not doing it, the best thing to do is ask over in the Tunze forum

You risk permanently damaging the pumps and voiding the warranty. I wouldn't try it.
