Hi Roger,

Quick question. I have a pair of 6100's on the normal mounting brackets (not magnets) and each time they start and stop, they both rock forward/backward from the force of the flow.

I know they are supposed to do this a little, but how much is too much? I am able to rock the stream side-to-side even from the mounting piece attached to the stream itself (not sure the part number, but the piece with the teeth that you attach to the mounting bracket).

Should I silicone or super glue that to the stream since it should always be a part of it? (even if I switch to the magnets)

Thanks (from a paranoid Tunze owner :) )

Hmm, it rocks on the swivel arm? It is hard to say how much is normal as it depends on so many variables. You could certainly tighten it up with some silicon but the swivel arm should give a fairly snug fit in the pump. I find some people for reasons I don't understand click it into the notch in the pump rather then slide it in by unscrewing the cover and by doing this the break the tabs or cause them to wear and bend so the fit isn't so good anymore. Not saying you did that but I wanted this to be out their for people who search in the future.

OK,

Yep,...I did slide them in when I installed them, and they seemed REALLY tight when I did slide them in, but for some reason they seem a little loose now.

They don't seem to slide in and out with ease, but when they are installed there is definately movement when rocking side to side.

I thought it was normal since it was happening on both of them.....hmmmm

It is impossible to say without having them in my hands to see as far as what is normal or not. You installed the pieces correctly and they are injection molded and randomly inspected with a fair frequency so I think we can assume they are correctly sized. I would say as long as you don't feel the pump could fall I wouldn't worry about it. You could always use some silicon, silicon is great because it can be peeled off and leave no real trace it was their if sometime in the future you want to remove it.
