Tunze9010 will not make skimmate

This thing is less than 6 months old. It has quit making skimmate.

I have it in 9 inches of water (no level fluctuation.)

There are plenty of bubbles, but they stay low in the skimmer.

It worked fine the first few month (although lthe skimmate was light colored.)

Now the bubbles don't go up high enough in the throat. I have cleaned the collection cup and it makes no difference.

I have the blue screw all the way counter clockwise.

Have you cleaned the pump and venturi recently? Usually at about 6 months calcium and gunk build up starts to reduce the performance. Has anything changed with the aquarium? New sand, big water change, new additive or filter?

Whats the best way to clean the pump/venturi?

Disassemble it as shown in the manual and use the brush that came with the skimmer with some vinegar and water. If you need a manual you can download it on tunze.com.
