Hi Roger!
I have the above combo in my 90g reef. Practically I'm facing 2 issues. When I use the pump at pulse power mode I have to dial it down to almost 30 % to make the sand stay still anything more than this will create a sandstorm.
If I use it at the wave mode everything looks cool even at full power.
I use the 24v jumper in both modes.
I would like to know if it is ok to use only the wave mode or should I use a different jumper and use the pulse power mode instead.

p.s. When in pulse power mode I see a lot of debris moving towards my overflow.

Thanks in advance!

I forgot to mention my tank is a 47,2*19,6*21,6 inches so its a little less than 90 gallons.

In general the wavemode produces a wave with a back and forth motion, as a result debris only washes back and forth and is not really moved, only suspended. This type of flow is very good for anemones and some soft corals but in general it should be combined with a pulsed flow for SPS and mixed reef. I would use the 12 or 18V jumper and use the pulse mode set to inverse.

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I did what you suggested but I have a question. Since I only have 1 pump in my tank what's the benefit from turning the controller to inverse mode?

My apologies, it was early and I got about 2 hours of sleep last night, I though you had 2 pumps. I have a 7 month old daughter and she cried most of the night so I am a bit off today.

Not a problem I understand! I assume there is no difference so there is no reason to change it since I run only one pump. Thanks again for your helpfull advice. It is always appreciated!

Thanks a lot. Is there anything else that you would suggest. I am new to the hobby and I try to do the right moves for the best possible result.
