Can you tell us anything more about this new product? specs? paired with contoller? release date?

TIA,
Jim

The 6000 produces 650-1850gph. It is electronically controllable and operates on 12V AC, the transformer is included. If you want a set with a single controller that will be part 6010. If you want a set with two pumps and a multicontroller no kit form is available all components must be ordered seperate. The pumps have been delayed, as I was notifeied this morning and production will begin the last week of March, I expect we will see pumps available in late April. The 6000 is $218.82, the 6010 is $263.53,
the Multicontroller is $151.11.

I can't wait!! :bounce3: I'll be the first customer in line. Do you need a guinea pig for a test unit?!

I have been running a test unit for sometime now, we began this project after MACNA when several people requested smaller and more economical models- hence the 6060 which is filling the economy niche at $115.48. I would suggest preordering as I am sure many preorders have already been submitted, all vendors have been sent packets and many have already ordered.

i have looked around a bit and i cant seem to find anybody taking pre-orders. do you know of anyone specifically taking them. i am interested in 2 6010's and a multicontroller 7094

I'm getting more confused on which of the soon-to-be-available steams have which capabilities.I see a 6000;6010;6060. I am looking for one that has a speed control for the amount of flow.Is the multi-controller used with multiple streams? Can the multi-controller be used with only 1 stream, and give the capability of adding one or more strems in the future?

OK, 6000 is an electronic controllable stream, when packaged with a single controller it is 6010. All Tunze Electronic pumps get a ..10 designation if delivered with a single controller. If you want a multicontroller you buy the 6000 and a multicontroller. The multicontroller is only a worthwhile investment if you have or intend to have two or more pumps. With 1 pump depending on what you want to do it is usually possible to accomplish it with the less expensive single controller. Some features can only be used with 4-8 pumps on the multicontroller. Stream 6060 is more or less a plain powerhead. It is prohibited to run it on a wavemaker. It runs on 115V AC, any of the Electronic pumps run on low voltage AC, 12-22V depending on model, the requied transformer is included with an electronic pump.

Ok.. I have a 125 now and I pre ordered 2 of the 6010. I will eventually upgrade to maybe a 225-300g tank one day. Will I have more flexibility with the system I just ordered or should I order 2 6000's and a multicontroller ? That way I could add more powerheads ? How does this work? What are the special features that I will only get if I spend the extra $60 or so bucks?

What is going to be available first ? The 6010, 6000 or the multicontroller ? What should I do ? I hate spending money on the same thing twice to get what originally wanted.

Thanks,

Kasei:smokin:

Roger,
How much left to right rotation does the bracket allow? I would like to mount the stream on the acrylic overflow of my 200 gal oceanic and have the current flow be nearly parallel to the overflow wall. This would require nearly 90 degrees of adjustability. I can't tell from the website if this is possible.
thanks,
Mike

It is not very practical to adjust the pump more than 45degrees. it tends to cause problems as the thrust pushes the rail. Some back thrust is required to keep a stable mount.

The 6010 and 6000 should be available simultaneously, the pumps are identical it is just the controller which is now seperately packaged anyway. The Multicontroller will include a photocell for night mode/ a $12 accessorie for the single controller. The Multicontroller enables you to turn one pump off and then alternate to the other pump. If you have 4 pumps you can use sequential mode and have the pumps come on in sequence. At a later date you could also upgarade your 6000 to 6100 for about $75, you need only change the transformer.

Thank you for your patience, rvitko. I have one more question. Can the multicontroller also control the amount of flow from each device?

Yes, you will set two flow rates and a pulse interval between the two flow rates. You will set this on two channels and have as many as two pumps per channel. Every few seconds the pumps will speed up and slow down to the flow rates you set.
