Turbelle Nanostream 6055 and Apex

I have two Turbelle Nanostream 6055 pumps in a 57 gallon tank that I am trying to control with my Apex. I made a post on the Neptune forums but still have questions. I would like the pumps to anti-sync with each other and alternate from a low or no flow condition to a low/medium flow condition (out of sync with each other.

Is it true that the pumps should not be set to < 30%? I really want to reduce the flow in the tank but read somewhere not to go below 30%.

These are my current settings:

If the pumps are the latest model with 7090 controller 20% is the lowest possible, however, the signal voltage changed with the controller so 20% on the Apex may not equal 20% on the 7090. You can also use 0% or off, the range in between off and 20 or 30% is what you want to avoid as this range is not enough to keep the impeller spinning to cool the motor and yet the motor is still getting power and producing heat, this can damage the motor.

Thanks Roger - I am glad to hear that having them off is an option! I will play around with my program and report back.
