Turbelle Stream Drift

Roger,

I have a larger Turbelle Stream. When installed perpendicular to the tank wall (when viewed from the top) I find that it will travel to the right a good 10 to 20 degrees over the course of a day. I suspect the movement is to the right because of the direction of the spin of the prop. Is there any easy way to stabilize it so it doesn't drift? I figure I could concoct something out of PVC or acrylic to stop it from moving, but is there something simpler? Like maybe putting some Teflon tape in the hinge when mounting it? Or, perhaps I missed something in the instructions?

Thanks in advance,
Bob D.

Is the rail rotating or the pump? Make sure the pump is pressed down firmly and gripping the teeth. If it is the rail I can send you a suction cup with a little nipple that attaches to the bottom of the rail to stabilize it. You could try teflon tape if the fit is loose between the shaft and the matching hole on the pump mount but in general when the teeth are properly meshed it should not swivel. Let me know if this helps, before you try any tape or anything email me and we can try somethings.

Roger,

My error! I actually had the pump upsidedown! (No meshing teeth.) Next time I'll RTFM. :)

Thanks for the help,
Bob D.

No problem, I am always relieved to hear the problem was resolved so I appreciate that, believe it or not I do lose sleep when someone has a problem.
