turbo snail giving birth

I think I witnessed one of my turbo snails giving birth this morning. he was up high on the live rock, and what looked like pearls were drifting out of its shell into the water just drifting away. several fish were eating them but even more were ignoring them. Is this what I saw or was it something else?

You might wnt to ask Dr. Ron.I'm sure he will know.The only snail eggs I have seen,have been attached to the front glass.
