Turbo Snail Robustness

I've got a 135g tank set up (it's been up for a month or so) with existing live rock and sand from a couple of other tanks. Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite all 0.0. Phosphate is low but measurable (0.2 rings a bell). I have a little bit of hair algae - had more but the Yellow Tang is getting fat on it. The water quality seems good, but it's not perfectly clear. I have two tiny crabs, two rock anemones from the Gulf of Mexico (off Galveston Island), a Regal Tang, a Yellow Tang, and a clownfish. All seem to be doing well.

Except the snails.

I put in two in turbo snails a couple of weeks ago and they died within a couple of days. I'm now trying again with another turbo snail and over the past five days he's eaten a lot of algae. Today I noticed that he's very still, partially visible, but no feelers are out and waving about like normal. I'm worried that I'm going to lose this one. They're just a couple of bucks, but I'd like to understand why I am losing snails. Do they get "full" and stop moving or eating for a length of time? How do I know when a snail is not well?

I also got a couple of Xenia frags a week or so ago and they only lasted a day before melting over on their sides. I did a partial water change, but all the water quality readings are very good. The fish seem fine. The crabs seem fine. The anemones seem fine. What's the next step for me?

Thanks,

Jon
