turbo snails under sand

This morning, all of my turbos are on the glass, but pressed down into the sand bed. What could cause this. Is this a chemistry issue?

Have you cleaned the glass recently? Perhaps if you did then they are finding better grazing at the sand level where you may have missed some.

it seems that they have just been sleeping there during the day, and going back around the tank at night. They just sleep there, and poop.
