Turf Algae Scrubber

Came across this picture in another thread on RC. Thought it was interesting for those of you contemplating one....

this guy is probably not harvesting his scrubber enough. they really need to be scraped and rinsed about once a week so that they don't become opaque to light. the key to a good scrubber (besides the regular maintenance) is really intense light, very close to the screen. they don't have to be this elaborate either. I'll post a pic of mine this weekend.

That's why I liked it, the fact that it was elaborate. I love gadgets and nicely finished project. Ha.
