Turn Off Powerheads while Feeding?

I was wondering if I should turn off my powerheads and return pump while feeding my fish. I have about 35x turnover in my tank and I am worried that the pumps are just blowing the food all over. If I do, is there any kind of switch that I can put in between my powerhead/pump plugs and my powerstrip? So i can turn them off w/o unplugging them. Eventually I will get a controller so I can easily turn them off but I won't be getting it for a while. (RK Elite)

When i feed my fish i leave them on,but when i target feed coral i turn them off.

I turn off all, but doesn't your PS have a master switch/reset to turn off all that is plugged into it?

I just plug everything but the lights into one powerstrip and then flick the switch when I need to feed.

I've fed for so long with the powerheads on, that when i tried to feed my fish with them off they wouldn't eat. When I spot feed corals though I turn them off.

My PS does have a switch but there is other stuff on it like my skimmer, fuge lights, heater etc. Ill try to change some stuff around and make it work. I like that the food moves around in a natural way with the powerheads running but it just seems to waste too much with only 2 small clowns in the tank.

Skimmer. heater, fuge lights can all be off for awhile no ill effects, I partial skim, only 12hrs a day, no bid deal for 30min.

I turn them off. Makes it easier to spot feed livestock.
