The tank? It depends what you are looking to keep. If you want SPS corals (not a beginner coral), then you would like to hit the 30x and up range in tank size. If you want soft corals, usually 20x is a decent turn over rate in the tank. Going by turnover rate is actually a poor guide to water movement. If you have 2 powerheads at opposite ends of the tank, really strong ones at 3000 gph each or so, and they point right at each other. Those two will collide water currents and slow the momentum down a lot. Usually if you place powerheads to make a circular flow pattern you get a really good amount of flow because nothing is holding the movement back after the water starts to flow.
