Turn pump on only in backup power

Hi Ecotech,

I'm trying to configure my MP10WES to only turn on when the power is out. I have the battery backup system. The reason I want this is that I run other pumps for my normal flow and I control the pumps using an Apex. I want to therefore only use this pump in backup situations.

However, the only way to turn the pump off when the pump is powered normally is using the off button. But when the pump is in powered off mode, even if I unplug the main power, it does not start in battery mode.

Is there any way to get the pump to only turn on in backup power mode?

The VorTech is not designed to work in that way. That said, I would recommend keeping the pump powered on and running at it's lowest speed. That way if you were to lose power the pump would enter Battery Backup mode.
