turning the lights on at night

well right now I was looking at my tank with my moon lights on and noticed that I am missing anothe gren mushroom . I have been loosing mushrooms and zoas from a certain side of the tank. well I turned my actinics on and had my phone ready and caught the bandid in action

the brain is extending at night and stinging anything in its reach. I didnt realize how far its tenticles reache out. I might have to get rid of some coral to give my favorite corals some room to stretch( stay tuned for a future sale)LOL!

ah hah! that explains a dead spot on an orange cap of mine.! it was right next to my brain (did you get that one from arnie?) i moved the cap and it looks to be recovering, i have also been looking for pests but have yet to see any. never thought it would have been the brain.

my brain will extend it's tenticles when feeding, but i have never seen it extend like that.

here is another one of my night scouting finds it is a clam attached to the side of my torch coral, it is sweet to find random stuff in the tank
