Turquoise Staghorn Question

Recently took the plunge into SPS in my mixed reef. I got a Turquoise Staghorn and a Green Pocillopora. The polyps on the Pocillopora are open all the time and is doing great. The Staghorn has great color and I have actually seen some growth in the month I have had it. However I never see any PE on the Staghorn. When I look at night under the moon lights it looks like the polyps may be extended but hard to tell for sure.

Question is do these corals only extend polyps at night?

That's basically what mine does. If its holding color and growing I wouldn't worry about it.

All of my stags have little polyp extension. I see it more at night. I just though stags are like that.

FWIW, the only stag I've ever had good PE on is Acropora Yongei....the Green Slimer.

+1. There is some PE, but not much, nowhere near my other acros.
