Turtle Anyone???

I'm looking for a home for my 7" African Sideneck turtle. He needs at least a 55g tank or an indoor pond.

how hard are they to take care of?

I know there's a turtle club of some sort that meets every month or was it once in a while at a nature center on Chicago's NW side. We saw them once by chance and they had all sorts of turtles in tanks, out of tanks, big and small. Learnt a bit asking each about their care and feeding requirements. Just brought it up, don't know if you were aware of it.

55g tank, minimum. I'll have the tank available soon, for $50 (stand & river-tank set-up included) Turtle is free. Just change the water 1x/month, the river kit does all the biological filtration. Cute face, really nice disposition--looks like it's smiling all the time! Eats cichlid pellets, pieces of cut-up fish, scallops, shrimp, algae wafers, etc.

i saw it and i agree! i loved it...my girlfriend wont let me buy it for her...no room. and i dont trust MY roommates, turtle would end up swimming in beer...

again, nice turtle!
