Yes, it's finally starting to take off. Can't see it in the pic, but on the left and right side it's starting to encrust. It seems to have gotten bigger though all around.

how does that regal do with the LPS. I have always wanted one but was afraid i would go down one day and all my hammers and frogspawn would be gone. I don't mind a fish that nips but some of those angels are more than nippers!!!!!!

Well, I have one clam, two frogspawns, one hammer, one gorg, one trach, all kinds of sps and the platygyra and so far so good. Maxxll said that she wasn't good with his clams in the beginning so that can always change. The regal I had before this one demolished my nuclear greens and other zoas, so I don't know about those as I try to keep those out of this tank anyway.

Twiggy, tank is looking great! Have you considered adding some aqua scape to the middle area in front of the overflow section? I think a bridge of some sort or another island would really bring the tank together.

Well, it's been a year now since I've set this tank up, thought I'd post a now and then shot with some shots from today as well

Hah! Thanks for the shot. Everything looks great, all these pics of great tanks just keeps me motivated to get mine in order. If this sulfur reactor ever kicks in and helps me get rid of my No3 I'll be sitting pretty.

Twigs, your tank is looking fantastic! Love the cap growth patterns and really loving that teardrop maxima.

Thanks guys. I need to get motivated and start getting some of the scratches and haziness out of the tank and take a blade to the bottom of the sides all around to clean off the coralline.

Daniel,
Glad to see the Regal is still well in your care, not that I doubted it would.
That Regal used to be fine with clams and Zoa's but decided suddenly around the 3.5 year mark in my care that it loved them as snacks. She never touched LPS. I always fed her well, (Not Nanook well....but fed well none the less), so it was something she just picked up on her own.

Daniel, It looks like you now have 4 H.magnifica's, the S.haddoni, and the H.crispa in your tank? One of the H.magnifica's look's like a red base???

Where did you get that?!?!?!

Regardless, looks good my man!!!

Your tank's looking fantastic Daniel! Don't wait until you're motivated, just do it! The motivation will come after the tank is clean and looks even better. ;)

I'll have to keep an eye on her then in the coming times.
Yeah it's a red base, I ordered them and the haddon from LA. The buffer one was deflated last night when I came home so I'm hoping all goes well. Brad is hooking me up with some cipro for treatments just in case. Thanks for looking out buddy

Easier said then done sir! Especially this time of year, running back and forth all day in multiple departments. Gets cray cray with the holidays in retail.

I hear ya. I always put off scraping but once I break down and do it the tank looks so much better that I get motivated to to other stuff on it because it seem more worthwhile when it looks it's best. :D
