i was wondering if any one has had any luck pairing adult twin spot gobies? after the first night i awoke to find the smaller of the pair ate the larger. ive since then been able to train the remaining goby to chase his food through the water so hes eating well. id like to get it a mate later on in life when i have money for a larger system. has anyone had any luck getting them to live for any length of time? ive heard thats a common problem

I got pretty lucky when i bought my pair. They are both on the larger scale for twin spots. The very first night they made a den for themselves and have shared this home ever since. Actually in the past couple days they both moved to the other side of the tank and made a second home. I am only guessing they are a pair due to thier behavoir. I target feed my twin spots as well. I turn off all motors and set lumps of mysis shrimp w spiru in front of thier burrow entrance. They both take turns eating it and have never displayed any aggression.

its it detrimental the the health of some corals to stop the current? if thats even what your talking about.. perhaps your just slowing it down enough for the food to settle? ive read that gobies in the wild build a couple homes for themselves. id guess youve got a pair aswell cause apparently they're aggressive towards others unless a mated pair. mine prefers brine shrimp to mysis it would seem. how long have you had your gobies and it what size tank?
