Twinspot Signal Goby

Just got in mated Twinspot Gobies and they both look good and are eating, but I am reading a lot about them not normally lasting long in aquariums. Is there any special care that can be given to help them survive?

Have lots of stuff cycled in from your refugium for them to eat. My recollection is that they require sand as that is where I see them in the wild. They are normally considered difficult and should be reserved for experts. In general, it is wise to read about animals before purchasing them.

I have had one for a year. They are really timid fish and are supposed to do well in pairs. Getting them to eat is the difficult part. If you got them eating, then it sounds like you're off to a good start. What are they eating? Mine started on tubifex and then moved on to everything else. Another thing that is difficult can be their timidity. I have mine in with a pair of Ocellaris, a peppermint shrimp and cleaner shrimp, the goby is at the bottom of the pecking order. I might worry about the Maroon clowns in your tank.
