if it's big enough.

Wow what an answer...

The correct answer is anything is possible, but the reality is that your dominant female will more than likely rip the gills out of her competition. Get 2 tanks. You will be very happy your did.

i actually breed Bangaii cardinals so it was a well informed post that i made, also females tend to get along fine, it's males who have problems that need to be separated.

My 5000+ posts are not from a novice point of view. I have bred bangaii and several species of clowns. I have also operated a small scale hatchery. The dominant female has been shown to be the aggressor against other females in my experiance, when performing mulitple group pairing and also in the reports of other "experts" (those that have done this for a living) on this forum. You are correct however that if two males are placed in a tank you will see an immeadiate aggressive response.

I still do not belive "if it is big enough" is a valid response or a helpful response and these pairs would be better off in seperate tanks. Just my humble opinion though.

Male to male aggression is actually a widely used sexing technique. You should also note that Frank's method of keeping 2 males for every female is also a great way to increase production and allow for the male to properly recouperate following his 20 day fast.
