Two Part Epoxy?

I was going to HD or Lowe's later today and wanted to pick up a reef safe two part epoxy to connect PVC to a thin wall plastic jug. Any suggestions on type and brand?

I doubt the epoxy would work. The Marine epoxy is safe but it's not really sticky.

I'd try PVC cement first and if that doesn't work I'd try super glue gel.

Umm yeah, pvc cement or superglue will "hold" but will have no staying power whatsoever. The problem is that most plastic jugs are made of very low energy plastics like polyethylene which is difficult to adhere to. About the only epoxy I know of that adheres those two materials together with any strength MIGHT be 3M DP-8005 two part epoxy which is really only available for mail order. Its rediculously expensive and may or may not be reef safe as well... Why do you want to connect PVC to a plastic jug?

I've connected PVC to various plastic containers using the following technique. So far it's held up without leaks.

~ In the container, drill a hole that is just slightly smaller than a male thread piece of PVC.
~ Apply lots of silicone to the inside of the container and thread the male fitting from the inside out.
~ Apply more silicone to a female adapter and attach the two together.

If the wall of the container is very thin, I've used some rubber washers to take up the space.

Give the silicone about 24 hours to dry.
