Two Raised White Bumps

I have a Long Nose Butterlfy in QT right now. He has two raised bumps that looks like a pimple on him. I cant get a pic unfortunately. Its not ich because there too big. They are perfectly round like and raised.

He is being treated with Prazipro currently but it does not seem to effect what ever it is.

Are these raised bumps white? Where on the fish are they located? Fins, body? It "sounds" like it's probably Lympho.

Yes, they are white. One is on his body on the side. The other is on the body near the back fin, but not on the fin.

How do you treat Lympho?

You don't. It's a virus which will usually subside on it's own. What you are describing could also be a bacterial infection. Sometimes those go away on their own as well; sometimes antibiotics are needed. Either way, I would take the "wait & see" approach for now. Wait & see if it gets worse. Take pics if you can.

Looks like he has two new bumps on the same side now. He eats like a pig. Been feeding him live black worms and brine/mysis.

If the bumps are looking like what that foxface had... I would pull him & treat in QT. I think it took my friend two rounds of Erythromycin to completely clear it up.

Here is a video of the fish. He went straight to QT when purchased. Look at the side of him, he has about 5 bumps on him now that look like pimples with white heads. Look on his side towards that back fin and under near the anal fin.

Video wont post, try pics

I hope so, I am feeding him very well. I decided to give him erythromycin antibiotic becasue it seems to be getting worse. If its lympho, it probably wont help, but he might respond to the Meds. Well see.

Sorry about the pics, its hard to see them and he is very very active. I feed him about 7 x a day in QT. Hes been in there for 16 days now.

Mine has small lumps on the right pectoral fin and he did have a spot on his side from where the fin touched... Got worse before it got better... I caused the. Stress to the emperor with cupramine... I know not suppose to use copper but I did anyway.... Learned that lesson

OK, finally got a couple close pics. I am on packet two of the erythromycin antibiotic and today the bumps look like they are comming to a head or popping. There is white nasty stuff comming out or something.
The fish is really active and friendly and has a strong appetite.

Is this Lympho?

It's impossible to say for sure. Lympho is very possible. But IMO, I would err on the side of caution and continue with erythromycin treatment. Especially since the fish seems to be handling it well (i.e. active, strong appetite).

Looks to be getting worse, poor guy has these cauliflower looking growths all over him. He is still very rambunctious and eating like a champ. Great personality. I hope this goes away.

I've had butterflies get what looks like that. Don't know what it is... lympho doesn't usually appear on the body itself, and doesn't usually have any redness associated with it. Whenever anything even remotely resembling a sore pops up on a BF in QT, I immediately add Nitrofuracin Green Powder. Works like a charm.

I did a search on it and cant seem to find it. Where can I get it ?
