I have a 46L Fluval Edge tank. It has been running now for around 3 months, I have managed to keep the water parameters very well with my salt ph being perfect and nitrates, nitrites and amonia at 0. About 3 weeks in I added a cleaner shrimp and a blood shrimp and they have been with me ever since, malting on different occasions and thriving. Just 2 days ago I added a Pistol Shrimp and Goby combination aswell as an electric blue legged Hermit Crab and a new lighting system. Everything was fine the 1st day but noticed that my blood shrimp was swimming quite eratically and left behind what looked like 2 baby shrimps. The next day again i saw my blood shrimp swimming crazily. He hit the side of the tank and ended up at the front of the tank, lying on its side holding one if its legs. He managed to crawl onto one of the rocks still holding his leg. This morning i woke up with him lying on the bottom dead and my cleaner shrimp picking at and around him. As i placed my net into the tank to remove the blood shrimp, my cleaner shrimp was startled and swam crazily to one of my rocks, sat there and had died within ten mins. I checked both shrimp and there is nothing unusual or no markings on them. i just dont know what to say can some please help??
