Two Skimmers

Does anybody see a problem with running two protein skimmers?
I have a 125 gal tank with a 20 gal sump and a Marineland model 2 acrylic sump.
I've had a Berlin Classic skimmer running in my sump for years.
Just bought a Marineland model 2 acrylic sump with a Marineland series 300 skimmer that fits in the pump. Both have been running for about a month now and both produce skimate.
Anyone forsee any serious problems?
Thanks,
Bill

No problems, except a little more heat from the extra pump

bump.

Same question, but I'm thinking of running identical skimmers.
Who is right here, one out competes the other, or no problem other than heat?

I used to run 2, an aqua c-ev 180 and a RO DNW 150. Both worked great but I sacrificed space. Eventually shifted to just 1 for the space and less electrical usage. Didn't notice much difference in terms of water temperature and skimming performance. Now I just keep the other one as a spare.

Sometimes two different skimmers using different technologies to produce bubbles will work but after awhile one wil outskim the other, so your results could very well change over time but lets see what evolves

I don't see a problem with it :)

I have posted videos and photos before feel free to search. This is more experimental than anything I am just verrifying they all pull crap out and will stay functional. I just happen to fix cars and people seem to want to trade fish stuff for me to fix them lol.
