two species in one tank

I was wondering if you can have two different species of clowns in one tank. I have a 90 gallon with a pair of ocellaris and i would like to add a pair of pink skunks. Would i be able to do this without to much harm to the new clowns? Or would the ocellaris pair kill the skunks?

well i have a little breeder box that ill put the skunks in to see if they are attacked by the ocellaris. any other thoughts on the two clowns?

If you were gong to mix two species, the ones that you have chosen are certainly your best bet. You can never tell though...

I strongly suggest against it. IMO, mixing clowns is just a bad idea. I have a pair of pink skunks, and while they seem peaceful, they become very defensive if any one comes near their anemone. I HAD a pair of B&W O's, I watched the female beat the snot out of the male until he was dead. I can't even put my hand in the tank without her drawing blood.

Upgrade to a 300 gallon or larger tank and THEN experiment. They need much more space to establish territory than your 90 can provide.

I have a 180 with two H. magnifica anemones on different sides of the tank. One of the nems hosts a mixed breeding pair of black and white ocellaris and reg occelaris and the other nem hosts a pair of skunks. Everything was fine for about six months when one day the skunks decided that they would prefer the other anemone. This happened on the evening that the occelaris was laying her eggs. The skunks harassed the occ until she was unable to lay her eggs normally. I was able to catch the skunks and put them in my sump and the occelaris appears to be fine. The occelaris is much larger than either skunk but hostility still occurred. Everything can look fine for a while but eventually you may have issues.
