I am planning to have either a SSB or no sand in my 75g after I redo it this summer, and I was wondering if a two spot goby would possible be a good choice to help sift sand, and because they look really cool?
oh... I assume they are sand sifting gobies, right, and therefore feed on the micro fauna in the sand? if so, would it be possible to get them to take frozen?

Being names can sometimes be associated with more than one fish, the above link was the one I was thinking of.
I have kept a number of them over the years and for me they just wasted away. But I think alot has to do with the wholesalers who usually feed minimally if at all and fish like the sand sifters need constant microfauna to survive.
Make sure you have a mature live sand bed to get started. Check to see that the belly of the fish is not sucked into its body a lot (it will be normal for a little). And I would ask to see if it eats in the lfs tank if possible because they can be converted to frozen foods, too.
Good luck.
I always called mine a "signal goby" since that is what it was listed as at the LFS, but it is what is commonly called a Twin Spot also.
Mine did really good in my 75g reef tank, he went from about 2" to about 3", I actually just traded him in and the remark from the LFS lady was "What a big Signal goby!".
Mine would take frozen food. He would constantly sift through the sand, but when some of my Formula1 or 2 mix would float by him, he would grab a piece. I dont think he would survive only on frozen foods but he supplemented his live food diet with it And no, I didnt feed him any live foods, I'm just talking about the microfauna he pulled from the sand daily.

I had practically the same experience with mine. I had it for almost 2 years. It accepted frozen and formula 1 & 2 pellet, and sifted the sand continuously. It was a lot of fun to watch, and a really subtle and peaceful addition to the tank.
Mine must have gotten itself burrowed under the sand, because it disappeared for a week. Then when it came back out my 12 line wrasse started attacking it as if it was a new addition.
I ended up bringing it back to health in my refugium and trading it to someone in my local reef club.
