Anyone ever see a tomato clown with two stripes? There is one at the lfs i help out at, and i have never seen one before...

lol no it is a tomato clown... it has the same color as the tomatos it came in the same bacg as the tomatos from the wholesaler but instead of one stripe it has two stripes

is it small cause i kno that when there small they have a second bar sometimes and it goes away as it matures

All tomato clowns start off with 3 stripes. They lose the tail stripe first and then the middle one. Usually by the time we see them they have lost all but the head stripe but not always.

I have seen a couple three stripe ones up to about an inch. The first one I initially thought was a red chrysopterus. The three stripes makes their whole body shape appear different.

The additional stripes don't last very long.

Well that's not good. I thought the fish looked pretty cool with two stripes. I wonder if my Clarkii/tomato combination will produce Tomato looking fish with more than one stripe?
