Two types of gobies for one shrimp??

Hi guys,

My LFS recently posted a video of an Aurora and a Candy Cane gobies side by side with a randall's shrimp all living like a happy family.

I've been wanting to get a bonded pair of gobies and a shrimp but the idea of having mixed species is much better.

I've read some and the general opinion is that it is ok to have more than one species of goby as long as they have enough space, since they could get territorial. Didn't find anything around whether it is possible to match them both with one shrimp.

What do you think?..good or bad idea?

Gobies like to den in holes and don't mind if someone else dug them. Possession of a hole can be a contentious matter in attracting a mate. Now, there' is a red-stripe high fin goby, and a candy cane shrimp...so I am not envisioning this clearly; and I have not heard of an aurora goby, but there are many, many species, some closer to each other than others. So peace could happen, but it is not guaranteed. In a 72 with some of the really small gobies, 2 species in one tank COULD be all right, but same-type is sometimes problematic. I have succeeded with the high-fins AND a yellow watchman goby in the same tank, and there seems to be no rivalry there.

Thanks Sk8r! I was also confused about the Aurora and it turns out to be the hi fin. By coincidence I had my eyes on them for a while so I pulled the trigger and ordered one Hi Fin and one Orange Stripe Prown. Liveaquaria mentions they both "could" share home with other species.
They'll go through TTM together so hope they start getting along.
