two unpaired clowns, one always in anemone

I thought my little swimmers had paired up as they were spending most of their time together. However, since adding a GBTA it is clear they are still unpaired.

One of the fish is always in the anemone, the other at the top of the tank. They are never near each other now. How am I going to get them to pair now if they never even see each other?!

oh they see each other bro, just give them time ull prolly see them together at night. how long has the GBTA been in the tank?

Two days now for the GBTA. One of the clowns went to it almost as soon as it came out of the sandwich bag.

They'll get it on at night huh? I'll get some Barry White ready for them...

Most likely the one in there now is the female, and she's showing dominance, claiming territory.
She'll probably let him in there before too long.

same happen to me.. but then my nem split now they each have there own... but some times i see the one dancing for the other... i had these clowns for over a year before i got a nem... thought they where paired...

+1 I agree I had a gbta a while ago and I have a pair of cinnamon clowns they were inseparable until I got the nem. then the female went in and the male kinda hung out around the rockwork but wouldn't go in. about two weeks passed and I came home from work to them both enjoying their new home....just give it time I'm sure shell let him in when she's ready! good luck
