(TWP)Tropical World Pets is having their annual Consignment and Aquarium Truckload Sale, Sunday, March 14th. 11-5 pm (rain or shine). Big John has sent over the reminder to all of us SLASH'rs. This is a great time to get rid of some of the old aquarium clutter that has been sitting around collecting dust. Clean it up and sell it off. Make some money and if you don't spend it there. Save it for the SLASH swap the weekend after.

Drop off times for selling stuff is Saturday March 13th 12-3pm and then Sunday March 14th, 7-10am. The sale starts on Sunday, 11 and runs till 5pm.. There will be a biocube raffled off at the end of the day. <- Sweet!

This sale happens once a year and you don't want to miss it. Another hobbyists junk is another's treasure. Stuff goes fast and this year the sale doesn't confict with the swap. Remember this is a great opportunity to get rid of that stuff the spouse keeps nagging you about. Good Luck.

Had a couple people message me asking where TWP was at:

Clean out your fish closet and make some money to spend at the SWAP. :D

We always try to support the LFS when they have an event like this, so hopefully folks will get there to get some good deals and hook up.

Jason did you buy the light? there is a great price on sand. I picked up a bunch more for the 120. Also picked up a 29 gallon for the kiddos. Going to part with my 20H finally. Always easier to pull the trigger when the wife is on board. :D

I have one up there with an overflow. It's 30ish gallons - 18" x 24" x 16" deep (I think) They were 60 bucks and if it wasn't sold, it was marked down to 40 about 45 minutes ago. If it doesn't sell, I'll be picking it up tonight and can shoot you some pictures.

Fish are 25% off, corals all seemed to be marked down (20 - 40 bucks). Freshwater plants were all 3.99 per pot. Didn't notice salt or sand since I don't need them - sorry.

Salt was good, I got 55 gallon mix for 11.99 and the buckets were 32.99 i want to say. Also bought a Maxi Jet 1200 for 18.99, in store special, and then outside i was able to get a 48" Hagen HO T5 fixture for 70 bucks. Pretty happy with how my day turned out there.

I was a cheap skate today...10.99 on mag float, 6.78 for background for my tank...Thought about ro/di set up, they had new and used but i dont know enough about either brands they had.

I would say yes they had great deals. We bought a few things. We would have bought some corals but there colors sucked.

yeah i bought it .....3x175 plus 2 96 watt pc bulbs . i had to do some work to it , the hot wire on the fuse pulled loose so the hqi wouldnt fire. glad it was just that thought.... all and all not bad for 150

Anyone know what day they will be calling to get you your money? I left my wife's cell number and she said she hasn't heard anything yet.

Been a few years since I sold anything there.
