tyree most wanted capricornis

Sorry if I misssed this... Is this really a cap? Or something different? Looks like a cap w/ elephantitis.

Ok, as promised, here is a pic of one of the smaller colony I had. I could not find a pic of the monster one.

Sanjay,

Thank you very for clarifying the origin of this cap :). There are too many of us around here got this cap from me(which came from you) so really it has became a some what common coral in this area.

Here's the pic:

Hey, that looks like the Monti I got from you recently Sanjay. Does that mean _I_ now have the esteemed Leng Sy Cap? Woo-Hoo! Now I can retire! I'll sell you my frag Freed, $800, plus shipping. ;) Getting in on the ground floor of the next blue tort sure feels spiffy. :) ;)

John and Sanjay,
FWIW I picked up this coral from Nemo before his tank crash. It grew out into a beautiful colony despite several bleachings. Some frags are now down in houston and should spread through that area as well. I must have given away at least 20 frags of this coral- no charge at all. Given how fast this coral grows, I find it amazing that there is not a lot more of it around. It grew like a weed for me until getting cooked by a bad bulb.
Sanjay, I couldn't agree more with your comment that the corals should be appreciated for what they are......

LOL! That's allright, I think I gave you a piece of "Mac's Monti" in the trade, which could be worth millions some day. ;) I'm quietly trying to become the next Steve Tyree (shhhh.... ;) ).

Now if you are also growing it in a miracle mud tank, then you can definitely charge double.:D "Leng Sy Cap grown in a Leng Sy-type system" That just sounds expensive right.

I was looking back at this thread and see that we have lost most of the images due to changes to how we post pictures and I know that there are many of you that did not see them back then so I decided to put some back with some of the caption that went with them. Hope this is helpful.

I took the close up picture that Steve Posted of the Leng Sy cap and one of my best close up pictures of my coral that had been growing under PC bulbs for a few months and composed the two so that you can see them close to each other. The results even surprised me I must admit.

BTW, I did not color enhance or even brighten the picture. I only reduced the size so that I could upload to RC.

I took this from outside the tanks about 2 feet from the coral. when I uploaded it to photobucket it got way too large for the screen.
