$450 LOL - yeah. I was just talking to my brother and we were having a good laugh at the stupidity of it all.
I agree with asking a reasonable amount for frags since there is a lot of expense that goes into farming them, but yeah gouging people with some stupid name is gay.
I already have a wailist for the MFSHPCP....amazing since I am charging 699.99 a frag.

I missed most of this thread but I saw a very similar large sized cap with almost identical coloring at Aquascene in Hayward ca, I think it was from walt smith

That's an even bigger rip off. At least you would be getting about 11 polyps for the one I saw @ $450. At $140 per polyps that would be $1,540. I think that beats your 699.99 coral Shawn. hehehe..
Oh, I think I will buy the one for $450 and sell it by the polyp, that would net me $1090.
It's crazy isn't it. But that is exactly how these prices get where they are. It's the stock market of corals.

I don't keep this coral any more due to space constrain in my 180g SPS but I will dig out some old pics and post them here later.
I spoke with Tyree a few years back about this coral and he told me to send him a frag so he can ID it for me but I didn't get around to do it. I have always thought this is the same one but never make a big deal of it. It is a nice cap even if it is not the real Lengy one.

Eric is coming after the holidays and he said that the Cap is in great demand this time. Funny cycles huh? Not too many people were interested in it until recently.
Like the tort - back in the day I couldnt give it away but everyone thought the Yongeii was real purdy.
Well I am off to some other message boards to post something to cause trouble and annoy, my work here is done.
